Furthermore Review

This is definitely one of my favorite covers of all time! I loved Shatter Me and so I knew I would love Furthermore. And I was right!! 10/10 would recommend 🙂 Tahereh’s writing is beautiful.
Even though I’m 18 and no longer in middle school, I really do love middle-grade books and this book was certainly no exception.

Gemina Book Review (Spoilers)

Rate: 10/10

This book blew my mind, man. Not only is the sequel just as good than the first book, it may even be better.

I was just as amazed by the gorgeous format of the book and the complex world building. I loved Hanna, Nik and Ella.

I really liked that we finally got to meet Kady’s dad, Isaac Grant, in Gemina. He was a complete mystery to us in Illuminae.

Here’s how reading Gemina went for me:

I cried, I laughed, and I screamed out loud in the middle of study hall, I cried some more and some more.

I’m crying right now writing this. My tears are hitting the keyboard.

The little plot twist thing about the two different realities hit me hard in the feels.

I was crying real tears in the middle of study hall when the unthinkable happened to Nik. Then he was ok. But the other Nik wasn’t. So sad.

Cover: 1,000,000,000/10

Plot: 1,000,000,000/10

Authors: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000/ 10

In conclusion, if you are having any doubts about Gemina, have no more and READ THIS BOOK.  If you haven’t read Illuminae, get both and read both. NOW!

I’m incredibly, unbelievably excited to meet Amie and Jay November 9th at Parnassus Book Store

Happy Reading

Crooked Kingdom (not a review)

I finished Crooked Kingdom last night, after Leigh’s Parnassus CK Tour stop, and OMG! This book is equally satisfying as it is devasting.

I’m so overjoyed that I got to meet Leigh and that she remembered me from our conversations on twitter!

She signed six books, two dustjacket posters, one phone case and took many pictures with me.

The ending to this book was perfect, but also so sad for reasons I will not spoil.

Good luck!

I’ll be posting a full-length review sometime this week, as I’m off school for fall break. I will also be talking about and promoting the Southern Festival of Books here in Nashville, which I’m pumped about.

Thanks for reading and see you later 🙂
