Book Reviews

I’d like to start with a fairly new book.

Ruined  by Amy Tintera. Almost everything I’m saying is on the inside of the cover of the book. THERE ARE SPOILERS.

This was quick, but thrilling read about a scorned princess named Emelina Flores. She is out for revenge against the enemy royal family, kills the Crown Princes’s betrothed and assumes her identity. She unexpectedly falls in love with the Crown Prince, Cas.

This was such an amazing book and I’m soo excited for the sequel.

Amy crafted such an amazing world and such amazingly flawed characters. I wasn’t too keen on Emelina’s sister, Olivia. We only really saw her at the end. Cas’ mother and father were also pretty terrible human beings. They were lovely antagonists.

Please read this book! You won’t regret  it. This  book needs more praise!

Let’s get right into it.

I loved this book! I’ve been a huge fan of Marissa’s ever since reading Cinder a year ago. The Lunar Chronicles is so incredible and Marissa has really done it again.

I’ve always been interested in Alice in Wonderland, though I never thought I’d ever get to read a Queen of Hearts prequel.

I’ll be honest, even though I knew how Catherine’s story would end, I still hoped for a happily ever after.

No such this was given to us readers. I’ll admit, I cried and my friend I forced to read Heartless told me she cried as well.

In the end, I would recommend this book to any YA reader. 10/10 would recommend. I would also recommend,if you can, buying this book and all your books from your local bookstore.

Thank you 🙂

I loved this book! The cover is the very first thing that drew me in and I fell in love when I read the synopsis. It’s a fantastic mix of fantasy and sci-fi that blends together beautifully. Rhiannon was such a likeable character, as was Aly and Kara. I really loved seeing how Rhee fought so hard to avenge her family’s death. I also like ALL the plot twists. The ending really got me though. The cliff hanger is the most upsetting part, but I will admit it was executed perfectly! I’d really recommend this book for fans of fantasy and sci-fi. You won’t be disappointed, I promise.
